B&K Agency facilitated an event on the persecution of minorities in Syria at the European Parliament

28 January 2026 / Brussels, Belgium – B&K Agency facilitated an event at the European Parliament on the persecution of minorities in Syria with MEP Hermann Tertsch and MEP António Tânger Corrêa.

The event was hosted in partnership with Empower Women Media and the European Association for the Defense of Minorities.

The event’s discussion covered recent political developments in Syria, the challenges faced by minority communities and broader implications for human rights, accountability, and regional stability.

Many thanks to the speakers for their contributions to the discussion: Ayoob Kara (Former Israeli Minister of Communication & Founder of Economic Peace Center), Himanshu Gulati (Member of the Norwegian Parliament, The Progress Party), Rhodi Mellek (Representative of the Autonomous Region of Rojava in Syria to the European Parliament), Tony Vergili (Co-President of the European Syriac Union) and Rama Aboras (Druze Political Activist).
