22 April 2026 / Brussels, Belgium – B&K Agency facilitated the policy roundtable “Celebrating World IP Day. IP and Sports: Ready, Set, Innovate,” hosted by the Tholos Foundation and MEP Stefano Cavedagna (ECR, Italy) in the European Parliament.

Marking World Intellectual Property Day, celebrated globally on 26 April, the event brought together policymakers and stakeholders to explore the role of intellectual property in the sports sector. The discussion featured contributions from Lorenzo Montanari (Executive Director, Property Rights Alliance), John Cabeca (Chief Operations Officer, Council for Innovation Promotion) and Cesare Galli (Full Professor of Intellectual Property Law, University of Parma. IP LAW GALLI).

The exchange focused on how effective and balanced IP frameworks can drive innovation, protect creativity and enhance competitiveness across the sports ecosystem and related industries, while fostering stronger transatlantic cooperation and supporting technological leadership.
